An absolutely wonderful stay from start to finish. Every detail has been thought about to create a peaceful, comfortable, unique special break away from city life. The chapel has been finished to perfection, the location is excellent with many wonderful places to visit in easy reach. The firepit on an evening was a special treat to stargaze, listen and locate bats and to top it all was to watch the red stags on the hill. We could not have asked for a more perfect, relaxing retreat. Eliza and Rob Wakefield September 2024.

Kevin and Lynne, thank you for a wonderful stay at the Chapel, it delivered everything we hoped for and more ! Lynne’s book on the history of the Chapel was fascinating. We also undertook the self guided village boundry walk and the village history trail, both really worth doing. Kevin’s tour of Cleeve Abbey was captivating and well worth the visit and an opportunity to hear from someone so informed. We are leaving feeling relaxed yet energised and planning to return to explore the area in another season. Thank you. Eric and Janice – Devon – October 2024

The Chapel lived up to all our expectations and was even better than we hoped for. It is in a fantastic location and is a spectacular building for two people to unwind, relax and reconnect. The building entrance faces out to the picturesque view of the green hills where you can sit by the firepit and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. As you enter the pristine and well laid out kitchen, you immediately feel at home. The star of the show is the living room with its features and woodburner, its a large room with lots of space to sit infront of the fire, watch tv or to just switch off. We couldn’t wait to get back and put our feet up by the fire. The bedroom is very relaxing and quiet and looks out to the fields. There is plenty of storage for clothing and the bed is very comfortable. There is a decent sized co-op within a 10 min drive along with a couple of pubs and restaurants.. Nearby Wimbleball lake and dam is a must. Our hosts responded very quickly to emails and requests – they are very friendly and keen for any feedback on how they can make improvements which was very challenging to do as they have already covered every detail. We would highly recommend the Chapel you will not be disappointed. Mark and Leanne – Dorking – October 2024

Thank you for letting me stay at your beautiful chapel. The peace and tranquility is very theraputic and an excellent escape from the rat race for a few days. A rating of 5 stars would be an insult as you have gone above and beyond – I will be back. Thank you again Tina – Leeds August 2024

Wow – what an amazing stay at the Chapel, as soon as we walked through the door and were greeted by a lovely hamper of all local goods, the roaring fire, the amazing decor and even the little chocolates were the icing on the cake. Kevin and Lynne have thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Bed really comfy, towels large enough even for my husband and really soft, and the extra logs for the wood burner. Kevin meeting us at Cleeve Abbey where he volunteers and took us in with his guest pass for free and gave us a private guided tour, it was simply amazing, and such a special touch that these amazing great hosts offer. We have simply loved this place, beautiful walks and lovely old villages and towns and the views are incredible. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, we have loved everything about it and we will be back. Debbie and Rob Surrey September 2024

What an idyllic location, and an absolutely beautiful building.  The property had everything we could possibly need for a weekend break.  Highly recommend the Thai restaruant/take away in Dulverton for food, it was the cherry on top of an evening enjoyed outside by the firepit watching and listening to the varied wildlife.   We’ll visit again and will be recommending to friends and family who visit the area to stay at The Chapel.  Thank You.  Olly and Emily – Cornwall – October 2024
