Wow is all we can say about our stay at the Chapel – far exceeded our expectation with its luxurious finishes and touches. Having stayed at many accommodations around the world I can honestly say this is one of the best – we have already booked our next visit. If you want a unique experience you will definately not be disappointed staying at The Chapel on Exmoor.

Kevin and Lynne, thank you for a wonderful stay at the Chapel, it delivered everything we hoped for and more ! Lynne’s book on the history of the Chapel was fascinating. We also undertook the self guided village boundry walk and the village history trail, both really worth doing. Kevin’s tour of Cleeve Abbey was captivating and well worth the visit and an opportunity to hear from someone so informed. We are leaving feeling relaxed yet energised and planning to return to explore the area in another season. Thank you.

The Chapel lived up to all our expectations and was even better than we hoped for. It is in a fantastic location and is a spectacular building for two people to unwind, relax and reconnect. We couldn’t wait to get back everday and put our feet up by the fire. Wimbleball lake and dam is a must. Our hosts responded very quickly to emails and requests – they are very friendly and keen for any feedback on how they can make improvements which was very challenging to do as they have already covered every detail. We would highly recommend the Chapel you will not be disappointed.

We loved our stay at the chapel. The owners Kevin and Lynne are truly lovely people, they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. The chapel is incredibly clean and really has everything and more you could need. The tour of Cleeve Abbey with Kevin was really the icing on the cake – a really wonderful experience we’ll never forget. There is so much to see and do in the area – we were only disappointed we couldnt stay longer.

The chapel is a unique place to stay – finished to a high standard, with an impeccable level of cleanliness and lots of wonderful and thoughtful extras. The setting is sublime and Brompton Regis is an excellent base for exploring Exmoor . The hosts are responsive and knowlegable about all the area offers. First class holiday rental, comparable with the best of the best worldwide.

The chapel really does have the wow factor, finished to a high spec throughout. Beautiful surroundings and great walks on the door step. Lynne and Kevin (owners) were very helpful and kindly left a welcome hamper extremely thoughtful. This has to be the best accommodation we’ve stayed in by far, already recommended to family and friends.

It is difficult to put the experience into words, because we cannot find words for these superlatives ! We were welcomed with a gift basket of local specialities, homemake scones were just wow, wow, wow. If you are looking for a place with a special location, the best hospitality, peace and nature you will be rewrded staying here.

Wow – what an amazing stay at the Chapel, as soon as we walked through the door and were greeted by a lovely hamper of all local goods, the roaring fire, the amazing decor and even the little chocolates were the icing on the cake. Kevin and Lynne have thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Bed really comfy, towels large enough even for my husband and really soft, and the extra logs for the wood burner. Kevin meeting us at Cleeve Abbey where he volunteers and took us in with his guest pass for free and gave us a private guided tour, it was simply amazing, and such a special touch that these amazing great hosts offer. We have simply loved this place, beautiful walks and lovely old villages and towns and the views are incredible. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, we have loved everything about it and we will be back.

What an idyllic location, and an absolutely beautiful building. The property had everything we could possibly need for a weekend break. Highly recommend the Thai restaruant/take away in Dulverton for food, it was the cherry on top of an evening enjoyed outside by the firepit watching and listening to the varied wildlife. We’ll visit again and will be recommending to friends and family who visit the area to stay at The Chapel. Olly and Emily – Cornwall
We had a wonderful stay at the chapel, an exceptional, amazing space with all the ammenities of a luxury boutique hotel. There was a beautiful hamper of locally sourced goodies on arrival and even the logburner was lit to ensure a welcoming start to our few days away, … and to top it all a wonderful christmas tree perfectly decorated. The chapel is in a beautiful tranquil setting with views of sheep practically on your doorstep. Just Perfect. The hosts have thought of everything from luxury bed linen, towels, toiletries, to games, local history information all very tastefully presented. We loved every minute of our visit to your exceptionally renovated Chapel. Thank You. Visits to Dulverton were also a highlight.

The whole experience was pure luxury. We were celebrating a birthday and our wedding anniversary. The welcome hamper was much appreciated. The chapel was really charming, peaceful and quiet – it really does deserve the word luxury – everything was luxurious right to the smallest detail. We just didnt want to go out and when we did we found ourselves rushing back to The Chapel – we didnt want to go home.

We loved our few days here and would have happily stayed longer. This former chapel, full of history, has been beautifully and lovingly converted into a luxurious place to stay. The living room in the former chapel is simply stunning. Everything is of a very high standard, from luxurious bed linen, large thick towels and a powerful shower to a very large welcome basket full of high quality goodies and excellent home made scones with jam and clotted cream. Stunning location – a really special place to stay.

We spent an amazing Valentines weekend at The Chapel. The fire was roaring when we arrived, and there was a hamper of delicious goodies and essentials. Kevin and Lynne have converted the Chapel with thought and care, with the beautiful stained glass windows and exposed brick, complemented by some original pieces. The juxtaposition of the new extension with its gorgeous bathroom, bedroom and kitchen is very well executed. Stunning Wimbleball lake and dam are within easy walking distance. All in all a fabulous trip, thank you.
