If you want a getaway that offers accommodation that’s a bit different, the The Chapel in Brompton Regis is just the ticket. We found this beautifully designed building overflowing with character and nostalgic nods to its rich history. We loved our stay here, it had everything we needed, a cosy reading mezzanine, well supplied kitchen (we really appreciated the welcome basket), gorgeous shower/bathroom and comfortable lounge in the main chapel area. We were only disappointed we couldn’t light the lovely log burner because we had such gorgeous weather during our stay. The chapel is in a quiet location perfect for all your daily trips with easy access to the lovely places on Exmoor. All in all we had a brilliant week and will defiiately return.

The Chapel lived up to all our expectations and was even better than we hoped for. It is in a fantastic location and is a spectacular building for two people to unwind, relax and reconnect. We couldn’t wait to get back everday and put our feet up by the fire. Wimbleball lake and dam is a must. Our hosts responded very quickly to emails and requests – they are very friendly and keen for any feedback on how they can make improvements which was very challenging to do as they have already covered every detail. We would highly recommend the Chapel you will not be disappointed.

What an amazing property The Chapel is. All the small touches have made the stay very relaxing and memorable. From the the fantastic welcome basket, fresh homemade scones,cream and jam to the whats on this week information as well as lots of other tourist information and books. We loved the photo history book of the chapel. The chapel feels like home, everywhere is so welcoming and comfortable. The gardens and orchard are amazing and the view from the patio across the fields is stunning. We also had perfect weather for late night stargazing.

Wow – what an amazing stay at the Chapel, as soon as we walked through the door and were greeted by a lovely hamper of all local goods, the roaring fire, the amazing decor and even the little chocolates were the icing on the cake. Kevin and Lynne have thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Bed really comfy, towels large enough even for my husband and really soft, and the extra logs for the wood burner. Kevin meeting us at Cleeve Abbey where he volunteers and took us in with his guest pass for free and gave us a private guided tour, it was simply amazing, and such a special touch that these amazing great hosts offer. We have simply loved this place, beautiful walks and lovely old villages and towns and the views are incredible. Thank you so much for letting us stay here, we have loved everything about it and we will be back.

What an idyllic location, and an absolutely beautiful building. The property had everything we could possibly need for a weekend break. Highly recommend the Thai restaruant/take away in Dulverton for food, it was the cherry on top of an evening enjoyed outside by the firepit watching and listening to the varied wildlife. We had a wonderful stay at the chapel, an exceptional, amazing space with all the ammenities of a luxury boutique hotel. There was a beautiful hamper of locally sourced goodies on arrival and even the logburner was lit to ensure a welcoming start to our few days away, … and to top it all a wonderful christmas tree perfectly decorated. The chapel is in a beautiful tranquil setting with views of sheep practically on your doorstep. Just Perfect. The hosts have thought of everything from luxury bed linen, towels, toiletries, to games, local history information all very tastefully presented. We loved every minute of our visit to your exceptionally renovated Chapel. Thank You. Visits to Dulverton were also a highlight.

We loved our few days here and would have happily stayed longer. This former chapel, full of history, has been beautifully and lovingly converted into a luxurious place to stay. The living room in the former chapel is simply stunning. Everything is of a very high standard, from luxurious bed linen, large thick towels and a powerful shower to a very large welcome basket full of high quality goodies and excellent home made scones with jam and clotted cream. We spent an amazing Valentines weekend at The Chapel. The fire was roaring when we arrived, and there was a hamper of delicious goodies and essentials. Kevin and Lynne have converted the Chapel with thought and care, with the beautiful stained glass windows and exposed brick, complemented by some original pieces. The juxtaposition of the new extension with its gorgeous bathroom, bedroom and kitchen is very well executed. Stunning Wimbleball lake and dam are within easy walking distance.
